Baby Cameron | Jen and Dave West’s baby girl!

A little more than a week ago Jen, Dave and Baby Cameron came for a visit and to have their portraits taken. Jen and I go way back to our days at Kent. We were both in the same photo program and we’ve been friends ever since. I photographed their wedding a couple years ago, and even did a TTD with Jen (sine if those shots are featured on the website)

Meredith and I were crazy excited for them to visit us in Columbus and even more excited to meet Cameron. What a cutie! Here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

Amber and Brian | October 25, 2008

Well, once again the weather man was wrong! No rain at all, and it’s a good thing too because it was cold enough without being wet out! =)

Amber and Brian’s wedding was so much fun, I didn’t want it to end. Everyone looked great, we got to take some great shots at Severance Hall and the dance off at the reception….PRICELESS! No seriously, that has got to be one of the best things I’ve ever seen at a reception! The girls took on the guys, and even though the guys held their own, the girls tore it up! LOL Of course it helped that John from The Dj Crew was playing all the right tracks to keep the party going.

Elizabeth and Glenn Beard | 10-18-2008

Liz had contacted sometime last year because she had seen some of the work I had done for a couple whose wedding was also in Sandusky. She loved the photographs and wanted to hire me right away. It wasn’t until after the bridal show in January that we met face to face, and even then it didn’t really click yet. About a week later I got a phone call from Liz, ” Hey Tom, this is going to sound weird, but I think we used to work together!”

Liz and I both worked at Cedar Point years ago and I knew her sister Stephanie really well! It was a crazy story, but I remember at the time how flattered I was that Liz and Glen had booked me to photograph their wedding without making the connection that we actually knew each other.

They had a gorgeous wedding on Saturday in Sandusky, Ohio. The weather was a little chilly, and I gotta say thanks again to the bridesmaid for enduring the wind! But, you couldn’t beat the deep blue skies and patchy clouds, it was really a great day for photography.

Of course, the biggest surprise of the day was at the end of the reception at the Kalahari (where Meredith and I also had our reception last year) when Liz and Glen exited out of their reception to the sights of an awesome fireworks display (see below!), and I don’t think anyone will soon forget Glen’s removal of the garter and what Stephanie had to do Dave Kelly…LOL

Krista and Matthew’s Wedding | 10-11-08

I don’t think God could have given us a better day in October for Krista and Matt’s wedding, it was perfect! The weather was great, the ceremony at St. Michael’s in Canton, Ohio was beautiful and Becky at Glenmoor Country Club did a fabulous job coordinating the reception! All around it was such a fun wedding and I really enjoyed meeting all of you and being a part of the celebration.

Kate and Anthony’s wedding | 10-04-08

Had the privilege of photographing Kate and Anthony’s wedding here in Columbus, Ohio. They had a beautiful ceremony at St. Leo’s in German Village, followed by a wonderful reception at the Crowne Plaza downtown. The weather couldn’t have been any better, and we had just enough time to go to the arch by Nationwide for some great shots. Here are some of my favorite from their wedding.

I love photographing smaller intimate weddings because there always so much less pressure for the bride and groom. I met up with Amy and Josh before the ceremony at the Double Tree downtown, and even though Josh was a little nervous while getting ready, all it took was seeing Amy for the first time in her dress for him to be nothing but smiles the rest of the day.

They had their ceremony and reception downtown at the Cultural Arts Center. It was the first time I had been there and I can’t say enough about it! It’s PERFECT for small intimate weddings in the evening. Be sure to check them out if you’re planning a small wedding here in Columbus.

09-27-08 | Erika and Jay Miller

All the way from New York, Erika and Jay got married in Cleveland on Saturday at St. Paul’s Shrine, followed by a crazy fun and beautiful reception at Windows on the River, where the food was absolutely fantastic!

We ended up over by the Art Museum for pictures and even though the sky was overcast, we got a lot of fun shots. Here are some of my favorites below. Enjoy!

Lifestyle Photography | Maternity and Baby Steps™ by New Age Foto

Last week Meredith and I recruited 9 families to come over for complimentary sessions to help launch our Maternity and Baby Steps™ by New Age Foto program! It was a long day…9 sessions in 12 hours, but we truly enjoyed ourselves, photographing some of the cutest babies I’ve ever seen. =)

Because it takes a lot of work to set up and break down the studio, we’ve decided to accept sessions on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, from 8am till 8pm each day. Sessions last an hour long and come with a personal gallery on our website to view and order photographs.

The Baby Steps™ program is a great way to document a child’s first year. The program includes 3 sessions at the babies biggest milestones throughout the first year. And, if you sign up for Baby Steps you’re eligible to bring in your baby for a complimentary session if he/she is 6 weeks or younger! That’s a $100 value!

More information will be going up soon on our Lifestyle Section of the website soon, but I just couldn’t wait any longer to put up some of my favorites from Tuesday.
